Get familiar with the websites for all of the schools that you are interested in! Many universities have online applications with application fees of around $40.

How do I sign up for the ACT?
Visit actstudent.org, create an account, and be sure to save your login and password! * Be sure to sign up at least a month before the exam date in order to avoid late fees!

How many credits do I have to have to graduate?
24. Of those 24 credits, students need 4 Math, 4 Science,4 English, 4 Social Studies, as well as the additional required electives. *The complete list of courses can be found in the online student handbook.

How many college visit days do I get?
Seniors get 5 and Juniors get 3. *Students need to submit a College Visit Day form to their counselor approximately 10 days prior to being out of school and bring proof of the visit upon return to OHS.

What do I need to do for NCAA if I want to play a sport in college?
Register with eligibilitycenter.org, submit official ACT scores to the NCAA by including the code 9999 when registering for the ACT, request an official transcript be sent to the eligibility center by submitting the online transcript request form.

How do I apply for state financial aid like MTAG?
Visit riseupms.com after January 1 of your Senior year. *It will ask for GPA and ACT scores to be submitted by your counselor, but I submit them for all Seniors at the beginning of the 4th 9 weeks.

What is the FAFSA?
You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.govafter January 1 of your senior year. Most families submit the FAFSA in February or March.
